The video that the below clip is from is perhaps the best description I’ve heard of for why there’s something deeply wrong with the consumption-centric system that our economy is based on. It puts out the big picture for what Brian McLaren describes in his new book “Everything Must Change” as “the suicide machine”.     That narrator is ignorant when it comes to computers. The problem is low income families buying $400.00 computers and then spending the rest of their money on credit card payments and the nanny they don’t need. Buy something ‘meant’ to last, and buy it local. ‘Nuf said.

    “One little chip” is not what changes generation to generation in computers.
